If your images contain IPTC data and you specify that EXIF data should be displayed, IPTC fields Headline, Caption, DateCreated, and City will be used (if present) to complete empty input fields Title, Details, Date Taken, and Location. Note that the IPTC field DateCreated must be in yyyymmdd format, with or without separators, for it to be used.

When an image is uploaded, its size is checked and a new version may be created if certain limits are exceeded. We reserve the right to delete the original image when this happens. The current limits are detailed in the following table:

We reserve the right to implement quotas on each user's gallery. The quota may vary from user to user according to criteria decided upon by the administrators of the web-site.

When an image is loaded its status is set to New and the image will not be visible to anyone apart from the owning member and site staff. If the status is changed to Gallery the image can be searched for and viewed by all visitors to the site.
If the status is changed to Background the image can be viewed by all visitors to the site, however the image will not be found by any searches or by the gallery browser. These Background images are for use in Personalised galleries.

Personalised galleries
The Personalise button takes you to an editor that allows you to maintain personalised galleries. There is a help page that explains the process.
Once you have created your personal gallery homepage, you have a fixed site homepage URL: http://www.eimagesite.net/go.go/usrpage/o.<username>/s1.html
You may request a homepage of the form http://www.eimagesite.net/<first>.<lastname>, for example http://www.eimagesite.net/hugh.griffiths
