| Tytthaspis sedecimpunctata (Linnaeus, 1761) [dbid 21726] Thirteen to eighteen spots, three are often fused. There is a rare melanic form f. poweri with entirely black pronotum and elytra. Widespread in southern England and Wales, absent from Scotland. Found in meadowlands, grasslands, roadside verges, low vegetation under hedges, and grass in heather heathland. Feeds on spores of rusts and mildew, or on nectar and pollen. |
